2023 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Is $2,300 More Expensive

2023 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Is $2,300 More ExpensiveThe 1LT coupe is now priced at $65,595, while it’s $84,545 convertible.

People who have already placed an order for a 2023 Corvette Stingray should be thankful they didn’t delay. The price of the mid-engined sportscar is now $2,300 more than it was before. It starts at $64,200 and includes a $1,395 destination for the 1LT coupe.

Corvette Blogger states that this delta also applies to and other members of Stingray family. The Chevrolet Corvette coupe costs $72,895 plus destination. The 3LT is $77.545. You can spend even more if the coupe’s removable roof panel doesn’t suffice and you desire the Stingray convertible with its power folding hardtop. The 1LT convertible starts from $73,095, and the 2LT at $79,895; the 3LT at $84,545. This $2,300 additional is on top of the $1,000 price increase given to the 2023 Corvette back March. It’s not yet visible on the automaker’s build-yourself tool.

Trevor Thompkins from Chevrolet’s motorsports communications team confirmed the increase.

Thompkins stated that the MSRP for the 2023 Corvette Stingray coupe or convertible has been increased effective June 13. The price change will not affect customers who have sold their orders before the effective date of the increase. We adjust prices on all of our products frequently and are confident that the Corvette will continue to be a winner in terms of performance and reachability.

Thompkins is absolutely correct on this last point. There aren’t many $65,000 cars that can reach 60 mph (97 km/h) in under three seconds. Even less exotic, mid-engined stylings and a 70-year history, there aren’t many. Although the Corvette 2023 Corvette buyers won’t be left in dire straits, the price hike is still a disappointment. Although the ‘Vette is still slightly cheaper than the Porsche Cayman ($64.850), the $2,300 difference in price to the older model makes it more expensive.
