Chevrolet engineers are still working on the Corvette Z06 at Nurburgring. This spy video shows that the one shown is not actually on the track, but is instead in traffic on nearby roads.

This car gets stuck at a roundabout and we are able to get a closer look at the future sports car. This is a great opportunity to view the lower fascia and the larger inlets at the bottom. This bike rides on five-spoke black wheels with visible silver calipers behind.

These inlets are enormous. They are larger than the ones on the Standard C8 The Z06’s openings have a longer vertical section than the sill. They are large enough to ensure that the engine can consume large amounts of cool.

The rear deck is attached to the wing at the back with its upturned sides. The rear bumper has been redesigned to include the four exhaust pipes at the center. They have two openings on each side. The edges of the rear are just below the taillights and the vented sections can barely be seen.

All evidence points to the Z06 running a modified V8 engine from C8.R. The mill is said to have 5.5 liters displacement, dual overhead camshafts and a flat-plane crankshaft. The mill might produce 617 horsepower (460kilowatts). It is possible to use a Tremec-sourced transmission .

Chevy will answer any questions regarding the Z06’s specifications at the Z06’s debut event on October 26. It won’t be available for purchase until 2023, so it is likely that sales will begin in 2022.
