2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 Spied at The Nurburgring with Less Camo

We are noticing a subtle change in the design of a new prototype that was recently found on US soil.

Our spies discovered a prototype Corvette Z06 while searching for it in the US. Now another has been captured. The vehicle in progress was seen at the Nurburgring, flaunting its large rear wing and quad exhaust system.

Although the prototype looks almost identical to the one we spotted a few days back, the rear bumper appears different. The Corvette Z06 prototype we have just spotted has larger air intakes at the corners of its rear bumper. This suggests a more extreme cooling system. Chevy may have used fake elements to hide the real appearance of the derriere on last week’s prototype.

The freshly photographed car shows a little less mascara on the front. This reveals a lot of the bumper design, including its aero elements and dual intakes. Despite the camouflage, the canards that stick out of the bumper are obvious. The air intakes are at most twice the size of the regular C8.

The side profiles of both cars are almost identical, except for the Corvette Z06’s white mirror caps that were spotted at the Nurburgring. Both cars share the same matte-black five-spoke wheels as well as the large rear fenders with larger air intakes. The prototype is a performance version, which means it has a stiffer suspension and minimal ground clearance.

The Z06 will be officially unveiled in the fall. Chevy is still tight-lipped about the technical details of the C8 derivative. It will likely be powered by a modified 5.5-liter V8 of the C8.R racecar, with a plane crankshaft similar to the V8 in the Mercedes AMG GT Black Series.

Although it is said to have a redline speed of 9,000 rpm, and produce 617 horsepower (460-kilowatts), nothing official has been confirmed. A prototype of the Z06 was shown earlier this year, and it had a magnesium gearbox box case. This is a lighter version than traditional cast aluminum components.

As rumors intensify about an Eray variant with a hybrid engine and 650 horsepower, the Z06 will be a temporary flagship model within the C8 lineup. Zora is the crown jewel of Corvette’s family. It is believed to have an estimated 1,000 electrified horses.

The Z06 will cost nearly $90,000. This is assuming that the Z06 will be a 2023MY vehicle and could cost almost $90,000.
