It will be available for Brazilian markets later in the year.
The Chevrolet Montana pickup is available in South America. It rides on a unibody chassis like the Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Claus. Motor1.com’s Brazilian edition got these spy shots from the //MS Instagram account. Is it a good fit to Chevy’s American lineup?
These photos show the truck camouflaged with fabric covers and a swirly pattern body wrap. It is possible to see the overall proportions. The C-pillar angles towards the rear of the vehicle. This gives the profile a more sleek appearance. Similar to the Santa Cruz, the back window is recessed.
Brazilian colleagues noted that the new Montana seems larger than the current generation. It will be approximately 15.4 feet long (4.7 meters) and will compete with the Renault Duster Oroch in this market. A Santa Cruz measures 16.3 feet (4.97 metres) in comparison.
Brazil’s team isn’t sure what engine the new Montana uses. It is possible that the new Montana’s entry-level powerplant will be a turbocharged 1.2-liter turbocharged triple-cylinder with 133 horsepower (98kilowatts). This mill is also available in the Tracker with which Montana shares a platform.
Customers could upgrade to a 1.3-liter turbocharged engine with 164 horsepower (122kW) and 177 pounds-feet (239 Newton meters) of torque. This powerplant is also available in the Tracker’s Chinese-market version.
According to reports, the Montana has an 8-inch screen for infotainment. Higher trims would also have wireless Android Auto or Apple CarPlay connectivity. Buyers will also have the option to purchase full-LED headlights and blind spot monitoring.
According to the Brazilian team, the Montana will debut later in the year and pre-sales will begin before 2023.
Chevy is not bringing the Montana to America at the moment, there are no signs. If the Santa Cruz and Maverick are popular, it is possible that the Bowtie will want a product to rival those models.
