In 10 minutes, you can go from V8 to zero emissions.
We were able to see the zero-emission truck in its early stages through recent spy photos, although the shots did not show the exterior. The prototype, which was heavily camouflaged, had the new independent rear suspension system. It also featured the electric motor and half shafts connecting the motor to the hubs.
A new rendering by TheSketchMonkey has given the F-150 Electric some life. The truck’s exterior design is very conservative. There’s nothing to be proud of. The little changes to the front fascia, and side panels make a big difference.
The F-150 Tremor is used as the base by the designer. He then adds the necessary closed-off grille to the front. Here is the point where the biggest changes occur – the fascia has large Ford letters, much like the Raptor models. The pickup’s greener nature is further highlighted by the thin LED strip connecting its headlights.
Although it would have been nice to know where the charging port might go, it is difficult to predict what engineers are thinking at this early stage. We should see the camouflage in six to nine more months.
