It seems to be identical to the prototype that we saw a year ago.
Honda has not released any details about the new CR-V, even though it was first spotted a full year ago. A patent image of the compact crossover appears to have provided a clue. The only image appears to match what we have seen in a few instances.
The 2023 CR-V isn’t particularly interesting, as it does every time with the grainy images that automakers publish to protect their designs. Although it’s not visible in the photo the camouflaged test cars that our spies captured seemed to be much larger. This is not surprising considering the size of the subcompact HTML-V for its latest generation.
The new CR-V has slimmer headlights, a larger honeycomb grille, and larger quarter windows. Although the designers haven’t gone overboard, it is easy to identify the type of Honda you are seeing.
The upper character line, which extends across the entire profile of the side profile, creates a visual link between the taillights and headlights. The design is similar to the one found on today’s CRV, but it’s located above the door handles. Although it looks a little “underwheeled”, there should be more alloy options.
It is worth noting that the HRV will be different in the United States than in Europe. However, Honda has not said anything about whether the larger crossover will be available in two versions. The official debut should be before the end.
Honda has been contacted to clarify whether the image shows the new CRV.
