Current HR-V is still a popular choice.
The 2023 Honda HRV teaser shows a small portion of the rear and taillight of the next generation of crossover. The debut will be on April 4, according to the company.
Honda previously teased the new HRV by renderings of the front and rear . The new model’s nose is more aggressive and features a prominent lower fascia. The grille is octagonal in shape and features a mesh pattern that is S-shaped. The headlights are boxier.
These renderings show the tail with an elevated rake to the rear pillar. The taillights are sleeker. For a more pronounced appearance, the bumper’s updated design features a black panel sandwiched between body-color parts.
The interior of the next-gen HRV is not visible in images. The 2016 model year of the US’ current model is the model that was used. Honda has many options to upgrade the technology inside the crossover.
The North American HR-V is very different to the one available elsewhere. teased the crossover in 2021 and stated that the new HR-V would be tailored to the specific needs of American customers. It will also differ from the Honda Vezel/HR-V being introduced in other regions.
The North American market has not been given any technical information about the HRV. A 1.5-liter turbocharged four cylinder is available in the newly unveiled version for Indonesia. It produces 175 horsepower (130 Kilowatts) as well as 177 pound-feet (248 Newton-meters). This output is similar to the Civic’s 180-hp (134 kW) and 177 lb-ft (240 Newton-meters) of the turbo-mill.
The HR-V has become Honda’s entry-level product within the region, following the death of the Fit in North America. In the US, Honda moved 137,090 units in 2021. This was 63.1 percent more than 2020. The company sold 26,287 crossovers in February 2022, 84.4 percent more than in the same period 2021.
The 2023 Honda HR-V will be available in the second half of this year, following the April 4th debut.
