2023 Kia Telluride Facelift: First Time

This mid-size SUV was photographed inside and outside.

Kia’s 2022 Telluride was unveiled a little more than a month ago with a new logo and some standard equipment. You will need to wait until 2023 for more substantial changes. The facelifted version of the vehicle will be available within the next 12 month. A prototype of the midsize SUV in camouflage has been captured up close and personal in South Korea.

Even though Telluride is new and has been selling well for a few years, Kia is still in a hurry to make the largest SUV in North America. A presentation to investors also showed that the Hyundai Palisade will be updated in 2022.

Although the heavy disguise may make you believe that Telluride will undergo a complete overhaul, we think this will just be a mid-cycle review. It’s a winning recipe, so why change it? You can see the new graphics on the headlights and taillights, which are likely to retain the same cluster shape.

Kia has already modified the grille front for the 2022 model-year. It looks like the so-called “tiger nose” will get a new design with vertical elements replacing the Telluride’s mesh-like structure. This change may only be available on certain trim levels and may not be accepted by all variants of the SUV. The outside changes should be completed by mildly resculpted bumpers.

We also have a chance to see inside the cabin, which is predominantly white except for the dashboard. We don’t expect any major changes in the interior, especially as the 2022 Telluride has the larger 10.25-inch touchscreen for infotainment standard equipment.Given that Kia updated the SUV in June, and this is our first glimpse of the  facelifted model’s exterior, it is unlikely that an official debut will take place anytime soon. While the Telluride may be released in its home market before the end of 2018, the US-spec model will likely be available for purchase sometime in 2022.
