2023 Lamborghini Urus Facelift To Debut At Pebble Beach: Report

This year, there will be two Huracan versions.

Stephan Winkelmann, Lamborghini’s boss, spoke out about the future of the Italian brand during a roundtable discussion with the Italian press. The meeting also included a discussion about the product launches for the remainder of the year. According to Quattroroute, he indicated that the brand was ready to unveil the refreshed Urus on Pebble Beach. The concours d’elegance this year is August 21.

Winkelmann also stated that two Huracan versions were on the horizon this year, but did not provide any further details. The premiere of one will be in mid-April and the other at the end.

Lamborghini will incorporate advanced driver assistance systems into future models. Winkelmann said that Level 4 is the goal for Lamborghini by the end the decade. This was a translation from the Quattroroute report.

The tech could be very useful for Lamborghinis that are driven in high-traffic areas or cities. Winkelmann says that the assistance features could be part of the next-generation Urus, or possibly a fourth model in the automaker’s lineup.

Winkelmann states that the fourth model does not yet have approval. Quattroroute reports that he would like it to be a 2+2 coupe, with a fully-electric powertrain. In an Autocar report, the CEO of the Italian brand stated the same thing. It’s a totally new car, the fourth model. He said that it’s a segment that we haven’t been in in decades, if we talk about a 2-+2 or 4-seater, possibly also higher from the ground with more ground clearance,” he stated in the previous interview.

The spy shots (above), give a good idea what can expect from the refreshed Urus, since this vehicle is being developed in light camouflage. The simplified front fascia has lost the horizontal, Y-shaped parts of the current model. The outer edges of the nose now have vertical inlets. The updated hood features angled vents running along the ridges leading to the base A-pillars.

The rear styling doesn’t change much. The vents behind the rear wheels have been redesigned. New sculpting has been added to the bumper.

Rumours claim that the twin-turbocharged, 4.0-liter V8 will still be available. However, it might produce a little more power than the current 641 horsepower (479kilowatts). Lamborghini will offer all models with electrification before the end of 2024. This indicates that a hybrid option may be coming. It could be a plug in.
