The entry-level model starts from $84,350
For the 2023 model year, the Land Rover Range Rover Sport enters its third generation. Land Rover has given the Sport a new look inside and out. However, many of the Sport’s features were first introduced with the fifth-generation 2022 Range Rover.
Fresh Design, Familiar Underpinnings
The Range Rover Sport design is a direct copy of the regular Range Rover. It features flush door handles and smooth styling. But that’s just the beginning. Land Rover gives the Sport a unique front and back fascia. The Sport’s daytime running lamps are the smallest Land Rover has ever installed to a vehicle. It also boasts a 0.29 drag coefficient.
The MLA-Flex platform from Land Rover is the foundation of the Sport. It can be found underneath the 2022 Range Rover. The Sport features many of the same chassis features as the Range Rover, such as the 7.3-degree all wheel steering. Land Rover’s Dynamic Air Suspension comes standard on the Sport model.
Powertrains
The new Sport is available with two mild-hybrid turbocharged 3.0-liter straightsix engines. The P360 SE produces 355 horsepower (264 Kilowatts) while the P400 SE Dynamic delivers 406 lbft (550 Newton-meters), and 294 kW (395 hp).

This model produces 434 horsepower (323 kW) as well as 619 lb/ft (839 Nm). Land Rover claims that the PHEV has a 48-mile all-electric range due to its 105-watt electric motor and 31.8 kilowatt hour battery. The plug-in is capable of traveling 60 miles per hour (100 km per hour) in just 5.5 seconds.
The P530 First Edition is for those who want the best performance. The 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 produces 523 horsepower (390 KW) & 553 lb/ft (750 Nm). With Dynamic Launch engaged, the SUV’s top-tier model can reach 60 in 4.3 seconds.
The engine is paired with an eight-speed manual gearbox and an all-wheel drive. In 2024, a pure-electric variant will be available alongside an all-electric Range Rover.
Tech-Packed Cabin
The 2023 Range Rover Sport should be familiar to you. Although the Sport retains many of the same interior features as the 2022 Range Rover Sport, there are some differences. The Sport’s high-resolution floating curved display is located at an angle just above the repositioned IP stack. Land Rover’s Pivi Pro infotainment system is housed on the 13.1-inch screen.
A 13.7-inch interactive driver display is displayed in front of the driver. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and wireless charging are both standard. Land Rover’s Electrical Vehicle Architecture 2.0 allows them to update 63 electronic components via over-the air updates. Meridian’s Signature Sound System, which boasts 29 speakers, is the best in sound quality.
First Edition
Land Rover’s First Edition is a limited edition configuration that will be available only during the first year of production. It comes with the Stormer Handling Pack, which includes Land Rover’s Dynamic Response Pro and all-wheel steering as well as the electronic active differential.
The 2023 Range Rover Sport will be manufactured by Land Rover at its Solihull Manufacturing Facility, UK. The Sport can be ordered now. The date of the Sport’s on-sale has not been announced by the company.
