2023 Mercedes-Benz E-Class – Tested in The Arctic

It could debut before 2022 ends.

Mercedes-Benz will soon unveil the next-generation E-Class. It is only a matter time. It is internally known as the W214 and there is a good chance that it will debut before the end. This is based on the first batch spy photos in which the car was wearing its production headlights.

The camouflage used for the test cars is slightly lighter this time. Two versions of the test car were seen around the Arctic Circle. The one that appears to be the most expensive is probably the more basic. The door handles are the clue.

The flush doors of the E-Class were identical to those on the S-Class last time. The car is still visible in the video, but the handles on the other tester stick out. This suggests that pop-out door handles are an option.

This video gives us a better view of the car’s flanks. We can see the gentle sweeps at the bottom of the doors, beyond the camouflage. The clip also hints at turbodiesel power. After the car spun its wheels, it let out a loud rev.

What can we expect from 2023 E-Class’s future? The shape of the car suggests an evolutionary redesign, which follows the design of the S-Class and C/Class . Mercedes-Benz is known for being cautious about changing the appearance of its most popular vehicles. The interior of the S-Class could look similar, with large screens and digital displays. It will also get an important software update for infotainment.

It is likely that the engines will be a mixture of mild-hybrid and diesel options, as well as a plug in hybrid. The AMG version may drop the V8 for a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The turbocharged inline sixes will continue to be available from the same source.
