The coupe-SUV is easy to criticize for its odd shape, compromises in practicality, and premium over the traditional body design. These cars are loved by many people, and they are no longer luxury-only. While the French have their Renault Arkana, Citroen C4 and Citroen C4, Peugeot is just months away from unveiling its 4008. Mercedes seems to have gone the extra mile to make the GLC Coupe’s taillights stand out. The visible LED graphics are exclusive to this model. These will be joined by plug-in hybrid powertrains, and the two AMGs. They will all have four-cylinder engines. However, there may be a GLC Coupe 400d with six-cylinders. A rear-axle steering system with a range of up to 4.5° is planned. Air suspension will provide a smooth ride.
Our spy couldn’t capture GLC Coupe’s interior. However, it was largely taken from the regular model W206. This means that there are some similarities to the S-Class’s interior, but not the same level or comfort. Mercedes will be able to compete more effectively with the Q3 Sportback from Audi and BMW’s X4.
