Nissan’s product revamp includes both returning and new models. Two of these models will be highlighted by the company during the Super Bowl contest next year. The ads will feature two Nissan products, the Ariya all electric crossover and Z sports coupe. Brie Larson, brand ambassador, will be their star. Nissan calls the commercial a “comedy thriller”.
Nissan claims Larson will not be the only celebrity face in the commercial that lasts 60 seconds, but the automaker didn’t elaborate.

The 2023 Z was revealed by Nissan this summer. It combines a two-door sports car with retro-inspired design cues. It will be powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that produces 400 horsepower (298kW) and 350 lb-ft (475 Newton-meters). The standard 6-speed manual is the gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels. This is the replacement for 370Z. However, the new Z uses a carryover platform.
The Ariya was introduced in mid-2020. However, it is an all-electric crossover and automakers are keen to promote their most environmentally friendly models before they go on sale. The EV will be available in two-wheel drive, single-motor, or all wheel-drive configurations with either 215 horsepower (160 kW), 221 lbft (300Nm), or 389 HP (290 kW), and 443 Lb-ft (645 Nm).
The new models will be available starting at $40,000, with the Z expected to go on sale this spring. The Ariya will follow two seasons later, in Fall 2022. Super Bowl LVI will be held on February 13, 2022. We’ll have all the information.
