This Porsche SUV is the first to be awarded a Touring badge. It slots between the Macan S and the base model.
Porsche enthusiasts know what the T badge means. It’s only available in two trim levels, the 718 or the 911. The first Touring SUV from the German automaker is now available. The 2023 Porsche Macan T is here!
The Touring model fills the gap between the base and midrange trims of Porsche’s lineup. They offer a little more excitement, but not too much. This is exactly what the Macan T does. It sits between the standard and Macan S models.
The Macan T then gets the Porsche Active Suspension Management and Sport Chrono Package as standard equipment. You can choose the optional adaptive suspension to get T-specific sway bars. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus can also be modified for the Macan T. However, this option is an additional option to the standard adaptive air suspension. Porsche claims that the Macan T can achieve 60 mph in just 5.8 seconds. This is 0.2 seconds faster than the base model. The top speed is still 144 miles per hour.
The Macan T has visual enhancements inside and out. Gray trim covers the roof spoiler, side mirrors, grille surrounds and side rockers. Gray logos can also be found on the rear. For more darkness, the MacanT has black trim around its windows and exhaust tips. Standard are 20-inch wheels with Macan S influences and eight-way heated sport chairs with Macan T trim. The standard-issue sport steering column, the Sport Chrono stopwatch and Macan T branding are also available for the driver and passengers.
Porsche sold 24,716 Macans last year to US customers. The addition of a Macan T could help bring in more customers. However, pricing will be a factor and Porsche won’t share that information until spring when order bank opens. The Macan S starts at $65,400, while the entry-level Macan costs $54,900. The Macan T MSRP is expected to be somewhere in the middle.
