2023 Range Rover Sport Gets Closer With Thinner Camouflage

It already looks more athletic than its older brother.

Our spies discovered the next-generation Range Rover Sport two years ago. Although the more athletic of the two RR models have been captured on many occasions, these new spy shots are the best. The prototype was captured while it was being loaded onto an enclosed trailer. It had thin camouflage that partially revealed some of its design secrets.

We are starting to see Velar and you can tell that it is the Sport by the shorter overhangs. The prototype, like the two other SUVs, has pop-out doors handles to increase airflow and efficiency. Despite not having the quad exhaust system, it is still sporty enough for its suffix.

Although it might not appear very different from the current aging Range Rover Sport, the new Range Rover Sport will be significantly different beneath the familiar skin. The MLA-Flex platform, which has been used to support the full-size model, will be switched to the Sport. This will add sophistication and improve stiffness while increasing comfort.

The Porsche Cayenne competitor will be equipped with a range of electrified six-cylinder gasoline or diesel engines as well as a more efficient plug in hybrid and a powerful V8. This is the SVR. It is expected to replace Jaguar Land Rover’s supercharged, 5.0-liter engine with a twin-turbo, 4.4-liter V8 from BMW.

JLR plans to transition gradually to EVs by 2020. Jaguar is leading the charge, removing combustion engines in 2025.
