Toyota also launched a promotional website for the new Sequoia.
The third-generation Toyota Sequoia will be unveiled sooner than anticipated. Thursday, January 25th at 9:30 PM EST will see the unveiling of this big SUV. The brand also launched a promotional site for the model , and released a teaser image.
This photo shows the hatchback portion of the Sequoia and some of its rear bumper. Only the handle’s metallic finish and the horizontally-oriented taillights are notable features of the design. There is also “SEQUOIA” lettering.
The vehicle’s rear leg was shown in the teaser. It is characterized by sharp lines. It has a slight resemblance with the new Land Cruiser.
Toyota’s Sequoia promo site has three boxes that say “Coming Soon” which could indicate at least three teasers for the SUV.
The front of the new Sequoia is not yet revealed by Toyota, but we expect it to look similar to the new Tundra. The SUV will have a large grille with Y-shaped headlights.
The interior of the Sequoia could receive the Tundra’s upgraded infotainment software. It comes standard with an 8.0-inch display, but can be upgraded to a 14.0-inch screen for higher trims. There will be three rows of seating.
The engines of the Sequoia and Tundra will also be shared, we believe. The base engine would be a twin turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 making 389 horsepower (290 Kilowatts) & 479 lb-ft (649 newton meters). Customers can upgrade to the iForce Max hybrid powertrain, which produces 437 hp (326 kW), and 583 lb.ft (790 Nm). There would be both rear- and four-wheel drive options.
The new Sequoia will be available at dealers by the end of the year, following its debut on January 25.
