Many of us were still in college at the time Toyota introduced the second-generation Sequoia. It’s safe for us to assume that a replacement will not come soon enough. The all-new full-size SUV will be revealed on Tuesday. Our Russian friends at Kolesa have created a Tundra-based utility vehicle to give you an idea of what to expect. The changes that will be made to a vehicle that has been in production since late 2007 will have a dramatic impact on its interior and exterior. Due to the larger Tundra on which it will be built, the body-on-frame SUV may grow in size. The outgoing Sequoia measures 205.1 inches (5.210 millimeters). It is already huge, surpassing even the Hummer-esque Mega Cruiser (200in / 5,090mm) from the 1990s. The two-part rendering below is a mixture of 2023 Sequoia teasers, and design cues from the 2022 Tundra. We are curious if Toyota plans to do the same for the Sequoia, considering that the fullsize pickup truck received a luxury Capstone trim level. This would be logical considering that more mainstream brands are moving into premium territory with their SUV offerings. The Jeep Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer is a good example of this segment.

The new Land Cruiser will not be available in the United States. This may make it more attractive to buyers of the revised Sequoia.
