2024 Chevrolet Blazer Electric Vehicle Teased In Advance Of The July 18 Debut

This EV carries an SS badge.

Chevrolet first teased the Blazer EV in March and then announced it in January. Today, we get our first look at the upcoming crossover. The model’s complete rundown and reveal will be available soon. Mary Barra, General Motors CEO, announced on Twitter that the model would be introduced to the public on July 18.

The Blazer EV was first announced at CES in January. It also included the Equinox EV and Silverado EV. The new Blazer EV will be riding on GM’s Ultium EV architecture, which will support several Chevy vehicles and other sibling brands. This architecture places the batteries on the floor and gives GM a scalable platform for its skateboards.

Chevrolet doesn’t yet have powertrain specifications, but we anticipate the Blazer Electric to provide between 250-300 miles (402-482 km) of range. This would put it directly in competition with the Ford Mustang Mach-E which can provide up to 314 mi (505 km) of range.

Chevy isn’t shy about showing off the coveted, high performance SS badge on this EV. We are not sure what this means for the Blazer. The price of power often comes at the cost of range in electric cars, but it might have to do so if it is competing with the Mustang Mach–E. With the GT trim, which delivers 480 horsepower (357 kilowatts) as well as sub-4.0-second sprints up to 60 miles an hour (96 km per hour), the GT trim can deliver 480 horsepower.

The attractive crossover is shown in the new image. It has a distinctive design that distinguishes it from its gas-powered Blazer. We think the proportions are a bit off, but that could be due to the angle of this photo. The curvy sheetmetal is covered by a black greenhouse and black accents at the bottom.

The charging port is located in the large divot at the door’s front fender. Chevy teased the concept back in March. The charging port is shown closing the door automatically when the cable is removed. The video also showed SS badges on the wheels.

We have just over a month until Chevy unveils the new Blazer SS EV cross-over. The new Blazer SS EV crossover will be available for purchase next spring. However, it is not clear if the trims will be released in a staggered manner. All details will be revealed when the device officially launches on July 18.
