2025 Dacia Bigster SUV Officially Renewed With Production Design

Dacia has also stated that the new logo will not be coming any time soon.

Even though it’s only the beginning 2021, Dacia already has begun the teaser game for a new model that will be launched around the middle. The Bigster will not be arriving before late 2024/early 2025, when it will be joined by a Lada counterpart. Group Renault’s low-cost brands in Romania and Russia will heavily rely upon the CMF-B platform for their sole architecture. They will also share as much as 85 percent of the parts between the models.

Our friends at Motor.es We have now created a hypothetical production look for 2025 Bigster, removing the extravagant design details usually reserved for concepts. The SUV’s no-frills design now features more basic headlights, inherited from the Logan / Sandero, and traditional door handles that aren’t hidden near the C-pillar.

While the front bumper now has parking sensors and radar, the side profile shows that the square wheel arches are more simple. To tone down the design vibes, the artist modified the side mirrors as well as the alloy wheels to make the SUV more practical for road use.

Separately, Denis Le Vot (CEO and Executive Vice President of Dacia and Lada brand), stated to Romanian magazine that the Bigster’s more modern logo won’t be used in a production model. The logo that was introduced in 2008 will be used for the Duster’s future facelift, which is expected to take place sometime in 2022. The current badge looks a lot like a bottle opener. However, the new badge reminds us of the DeLorean DMC logo.

Dacia claims that the nickname “Bigster” was chosen during lunch break in a short brainstorming session close to the espresso machine. There is much more work to be done in 2025. The company isn’t yet certain if the production model will keep the current nameplate or change it to something new. The Dacia C-segment debut will be marked by the announcement of the hybrid-powered model, which will be positioned above the Duster and will feature an SUV.

According to the official product roadmap, Dacia plans two additional B-segment vehicles. One will be coming in 2020 and the second in 2024. Although there were rumors of a seven seat “Grand Duster,” it is not clear what shape these cars will take.
