From the 1947 A6 1500 up to the 2017 GranTurismo.
Ferrari is getting ready for an 70th Anniversary celebration that will be epic in scale, but Maserati won’t be missed. The iconic Italian marque chose seven vehicles to commemorate its anniversary and also unveiled a new GranCabrio Sport.
The 1947 A6 1500 will be the first of these celebratory classics. It features a 1.5-liter engine, Pininfarina’s design, and is a striking example of a modern car. The 1957 3500GT will be next, as it was the first Maserati vehicle to be mass-produced. A 1959 5000GT will follow, with a stronger V8 engine.A 1970 Ghibli Coupe will also be on display, with its 4.9-liter V8. Also, there will be a 1998 Khamsin, which is the legendary successor to the Ghibli. Finally, there will be the 2017 GranTurismo, which features 370 horsepower (275kilowatts). The seven cars will be honored alongside the GranCabrio (4.7-liter V8 on GranTurismo), which produces 460 horsepower (343kW) and 383 poundfeet (502 Newton-meters).
Peter Denton, regional manager for Maserati North Europe, stated that Maserati is the Grand Tourer pioneers and has produced some of the most recognizable GTs in the last 70 years. These seven classics are a testament to this fact. GranTurismo’s latest GranTurismo, GranCabrio offer an empowering combination race-bred power with grand touring luxury.
The new Maserati GranTurismo starts at PS94,285 in U.K. ($134,625 U.S.). It features a number new features including an 8.4-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto support, and a redesigned center console that includes a new rotary controller, drive-mode-buttons, and an 8.4-inch screen. GranCabrio will have all the same updates and costs PS108,340 (£145,410) in U.K.
