Juice up your GMC Sierra or Chevrolet Silverado.
The Hennessey Goliath is a name you may remember. It is a Chevrolet Silveradopickup that has been modified by Hennessey Performance to include a suspension lift, beefy off-road tires and a suspension lift. The Goliath is a bizarre 6×6 vehicle. However, those who want the same name and attitude but without the extra length and complexity of an additional drive axle at the rear, can find a Texas tuning shop that offers a more traditional Goliath. This is if a pickup with 700 horsepower can be considered to be conventional.
Hennessey’s post on Facebook shows that the Goliath 700 has only four wheels. This is not a new machine. It’s a performance upgrade package that can be fitted to either the GMC Sierra, or the Chevrolet Silverado with the 6.2-liter engine. It all starts with a supercharger. In this case it is a huge 2.9-liter unit. Also, the vehicle has high-flow air induction, intercooling, and a turbo charger. It is equipped with a crankcase ventilation system and upgraded pushrods. The exhaust system uses a catback system. Hennessey’s engine management calibration ensures that everything runs smoothly. Hennessey badges are added to the outside and inside of the vehicle, as well as embroidered headrests.
How about the suspension modifications you see in the photos. These are optional upgrades that can be added to two off-road packages. Stage 1 includes a 3.5-inch or 4-inch lift, depending on the trim level, as well as Goliath bumpers front-and-rear, LED lights, and 20 inch wheels with 35-inch offroad tires. Stage 2 increases the lift to 6 inches and upgrades the suspension. The tires are now 37-inchers. All of this is covered by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
The pricing is not mentioned but the company says the Goliath 700 can now be ordered through any Chevrolet / GMC dealer, or directly from Hennessey.
