It is likely to move towards Europe and other markets in the next year.

The current-generation Ford RangerT6 is now nine years of age and serves multiple global markets as a single platform. The front fascia was updated twice in its nearly-decade-long life, the first one in 2015 and another in 2018.

Ford has given the mid-sized truck a third refresh to make it ready for the 2021 model year. The new Ranger lineup was revealed in Thailand. It will also be available in other markets, including the Southeast Asian Kingdom.

Facelifted Ranger T6 receives a black trapezoidal meshed grille similar to the limited edition Ford Thunder. Black trim is added to the Ranger’s door handles and side mirrors. The Ranger also has black alloy wheels. For additional bed storage, the Wildtrak model also has power roller shutters.

The cabin and diesel engine options don’t have any modifications.

A new variant, XL Street, has also been introduced – in SuperCab configuration. It features athletic stripe graphics created by Ford design team from Australia. These are similar to those found on the Ranger Raptor/race truck.

Next year, the refreshed 2021 Ranger will be available in Europe. The Ford Thunder is already produced at the Silverton plant in South Africa by Ford. It’s not surprising that the entire range will adopt the new look to end the Ranger’s current life.

North America will, however, remain independent with its Ranger, as it has been since the beginning, despite being on the same platform.
