Bulgaria may not be the most exciting country on the planet, but it does have some interesting auto-related topics. This is the country that Vilner is based, and where Nissan held the debut of its new Juke. The gearheads of the region will be pleased to learn that Dodge and Ram are now officially available for purchase in Bulgaria.

Ind Commerce, which is the official importer of Hyundai in Bulgaria, will present the American brands. With the opening of a service and sales center in Sofia (Bulgarian capital), the firm has promised to build “a strong dealer network throughout the country”.

Marin Markov, Ind Commerce’s brand manger, said, “It is our pleasure to bring back the Bulgarian markets the legendary American brands. Enabling their fans to enjoy the unparalleled capabilities and the unique emotion that driving these bold, powerful cars is not only a lifestyle but also a vehicle.”

Two models will initially be available, one for each brand. Dodge sells its Durango SUV while Ram offers the 1500 truck. In a country where German brands dominate used-car markets, Dacia and Renault are the most popular new-car manufacturers.

The debut of the new brands in Bulgaria will take place later in the month at an off-road event. Local enthusiasts site dizzyRiders reports that this will be the first public appearance. Ind Commerce promises that it will soon offer more models from both brands.
