The interior of a modern Corvette seems to work well in a third generation Camaro.
Engine swaps are common, especially in the worlds of General Motors and Chevrolet’s legendary LS V8 engines. In the video above, the third-generation Chevrolet Camaro features an LS instead of the original 5.0-liter V8. It’s not the engine swap this time that attracts attention. It’s actually what’s going on in the cockpit.
cockpit would be a good word to describe this Camaro greenhouse. You’d expect a long flat dash with a rectangular console in the middle. This white pony car has a complete interior of a 2020 Chevrolet Corvette right down to its big spine. The Competition-spec seats, push-button start and digital display for driver are all in full operation. The touchscreen in the center works well and displays a cool image of your car.
Stitch to Slick upholstery did the interior. This is the source of the video at the beginning. The swap is described in several videos posted by the company on YouTube. These videos show the extensive wiring and electrical work required to bring 21st century Corvette tech to the older Camaro. The owner of the car also has a YouTube channel titled Coffee & Camaros Chick, where you can see more about the car and how it was built. The engine is an LS swap. However, the ‘Maro (also known affectionately by Hiliary Banks), sounds quite healthy to us.
The Camaro also features 22-inch Forgiato wheels in white or rose gold. This matches the exterior’s white color, which also has rose gold trim. The interior of the C8 is very distinctive and looks great in the third-gen. It’s impressive, considering that it all began with a modest 1992 Camaro RS. It didn’t even come with power windows.
