Pininfarina’s 1980 Ferrari Pinin concept is on sale now for a hefty 1.1M EUR.

The unique Pinin concept was created to celebrate Pininfarina’s 50 th Anniversary. However, it isn’t true. Seven units of the 456 GT Venice wagon were built by the Pinin horse ( see attached) for a Brunei prince.

Gabriele Candrini, Modena’s owner of the Pinin concept, tried to sell it back in 2011 but failed. He’s still trying to sell the car, but it seems unlikely that many people will be willing to part with 1.1M EUR, which is approximately 1.5M USD or 910,000GBP.

It was kept in Pininfarina’s collection until 1992, but it was sold to a private purchaser. Its heart is the V12, 5.0-liter engine from the 512BB that produces 360 bhp (268kW).

Side note: Pininfarina was once interested in a Pinin 2 with an Engine sourced from Testarossa, but it was canceled.
