Abarth only makes 695 hatches
In 2019, Fiat pulled the 500 from the US. Fiat never really made much progress in the US market, leaving only the Fiat 500X as its sole model. The Fiat 500 is still available in other parts of the world. Buyers will be able to purchase one of 695 special-edition Abarth models called the Abarth 695 Tributo 131 Rally. This pays homage to the 40-year-old Abarth 131 Rally.
The T-Jet engine, a 1.4-liter 16-valve T1 engine, powers the hot hatch. It generates 180 horsepower (134kilowatts) as well as 184 pound-feet (253 Newton-meters), of torque in the Abarth. It can reach speeds of 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 6.7 seconds. The maximum speed is 140 mph (225 km/h).
Abarth adds Koni FSD shock absorbers to the suspension front and back. Abarth also installs four-piston Brembo brake discs, which are mounted on black, diamond-cut alloy wheels of 17 inches. Abarth’s Record Monza Sovrapposto exhaust, which is an evolution of the Record Monza system, also enhances the car’s sound.
The variable trim spoilerhanging from the roof is one of the most unique features in the Abarth. Although it’s not new, it’s adjustable to 12 positions and can be adjusted from 0-60 degrees. This can improve the car’s cornering stability. It also generates downforce of up to 92 lbs (42 kgs) when the spoiler is inclined to 60 degrees. The car travels at 124 mph (220 kph).
With its dual-tone, triple-layer Blue Rally exterior and Scorpion Black interior, the Abarth 695 Tributo 131 Rally is a standout. Blue Rally and Record Gray liveries also available. There are Sebelt seat covers with blue inserts. Abarth adds many Easter eggs to the car, such as the silhouette of the 131 Rally engraved on the Alcantara dashboard and headrests.
The Abarth 695 Tributo 131 Rally is a tribute to the 1976 Abarth 131 Rally. It won 18 International Rallies and three World Constructors Champions. There were also two FIA Cup for Rally Drivers titles. The World Drivers Championships title was achieved in six years.
