The tuner will add power to the A5 Sportback and give both cars some exterior bling.
Do you want a brand new Audi RS5 Cabriolet or Coupe? You won’t find one, but ABT Sportsline can get you one with its modified S5 droptop. This features, among others, an additional 425 horsepower. The Audituner, which enhances the performance and looks of the A5 Sportback but not to the same extent as the S5 convertible, is available if you prefer a roof above your head.
Both cars receive the same subtle exterior styling. Each car gets an ABT front spoiler and an offset air splitter to add a little aggression. The rear features a more prominent package with ABT rear skirts that include a distinctive diffuser and quad exhaust outlets. The upgrades begin to differ between cars. The S5 Cabrio has black tips, while the Sportback gets chrome. The tuner also offers a variety of styles in the 19-inch or 20 inch varieties, as exterior upgrades are incomplete without new wheels.
ABT has fitted the Audi droptop with an engine control unit that increases the S5’s 3.0-liter V6’s power to 425 horsepower. This is a significant 20 percent increase over the stock 354 ponies. The Sportback’s engine control upgrade options are available from ABT for various A5 engines. The TFSI 2.0-liter mill produces the most power, ranging from 252 to 325 hp. A5 diesel owners are able to join the fun too with 2.0-liter TDI engines increasing to a modest 215 hp, and base 3.0-liter TDI diesels reaching 250 hp. The 3.0-liter TDI, which is larger, gets the largest diesel upgrade, increasing its power from 272 to 325 hp.
Although a suspension upgrade kit is not yet available for both cars, it is being developed. Prices vary depending on how extravagant you want to go with wheels or other add-ons. However, power packages cost between EUR2,000 and EUR3,000 or about $2,500 to $3,000.
