AC Schnitzer Gives the i8 Roadster a Modern Look With A New Bodykit

New 21-inch forged wheels are also available from the firm. They look amazing.

BMW i8 Roadster has been delivered. AC Schnitzer can be used to give your new hybrid sports car a more sexy look. A new line of accessories has been launched by the firm, which includes a bodykit. Lightweight wheels and suspension setup.

AC Schnitzer parts replace the exterior of the i8 Roadster with carbon fiber enhancements. A new front design features kidney grille covers and a fascia featuring prominent vertical splitters, corner fins and canards. Owners can also add sill extensions and mirror caps to the sides. The rear diffuser can also be purchased, as well as a new rear wings.

AC Schnitzer uses trim pieces to dress up the interior. The pedals, footrest and iDrive controller are covered in aluminum pieces. Velour floor mats are also available.

The tuning company also sells a set five-spoke forged wheel with two-tone or anthracite finishes. They are 21 inches in diameter at each end and measure 8.5 inches wide at the front and 9.5 inches at their rear. These larger pieces weigh in at 9 pounds 11 ounces (4.4 kg) less than BMW’s standard 20-inch Turbine design wheels. The difference is negligible when you consider their combined weight with the tires. However, the larger contact area of AC Schnitzer parts should give you more grip.

AC Schnitzer has also developed a new spring kit for the i8 Roadster. The ride height of the new parts is lower than the standard setup by 0.8 inches to 1 inch (20-25 millimeters) at each end.

The Tuner’s upgrades do not address the i8 Roadster’s powertrain. The hybrid layout still produces 369 horsepower (275kilowatts) and can accelerate to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.4 seconds. BMW limits the maximum speed to 155 mph (249 km/h).
