AC Schnitzer, a German BMW dealer and MINI-tuner based in Aachen, has announced a new tuning package, the R56. The package, which offers an aero body kit with the front-spoiler and rear- and side-skirts in body color, also includes performance enhancements such as a new performance exhaust system and a NAfAE’A+aEUR(tm)AfaEURsA,A 1/4 rburgring-tested racing suspension. AC Schnitzer is currently working on an engine performance upgrade for 175hp turbo engine, but has not given any details. Interior modifications like aluminum pedals and a Schnitzer gearlever will be included in the tuning package. Customers can choose from 17-inch or 18-inch AC Schnitzer alloy tires.
