Consumer Reports regularly surveys its members to get their input on a range of automotive-related topics. Automakers are generally happy to be ranked on top-of lists. However, this worst-of collection regarding satisfaction won’t be going into anyone’s trophy case. These ten vehicles left their owners wanting more. The Toyota CHR was the most popular.
Consumer Reports reports that the results were based on responses from over 300,000. These vehicles covered a wide range of metrics. Low satisfaction does not necessarily mean poor reliability or performance. However, such factors can be a factor. Buyers’ remorse may also play a part, but it is rare without an external factor.
Here’s a list of the worst cars, based on survey data. All vehicles on this list are American and Japanese, with the exception of the Kia Forte. Only two companies, Jeep or Infiniti, have more than one vehicle in the list. This score represents the percentage of buyers who say they would purchase the vehicle again. Curiously though, the scores of vehicles at the top of the list are almost identical, but the score drops significantly at the bottom.
