The manual is still available!

Acura just unveiled the 2023 Integra last week with a starting cost of $30,000. The 1.5-liter turbo engine under the hood is mated via a CVT. However, the A-Spec performance package adds a six-speed manual. Acura has found that the demand for the three-pedal configuration exceeds what they originally anticipated.

Andrew Quillin, Acura’s PR manager, recently tweeted that reservations for the new Integra have risen to 70% for the manual gearbox option. This is a surprising result. It seems that even Acura didn’t expect such a large number of early reservations for manuals. Manuals accounted for approximately 50 percent of all model sales between 1986 and 2001.

The price information is not available at this time, except for the “around $30,000 remark”, but Acura is currently accepting reservations from customers. Acura did not confirm the number of Integra reservations, but they stated that it was “above our expectations.” Acura expects that most of the 500 deposit holders will convert to sales.

The Acura’s 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine is responsible for 200 horsepower (149 Kilowatts) as well as 192 pound-feet (261 Newton-meters). A CVT is the standard option. However, a manual can be added to the A-Spec performance package. The six-speed ‘box comes standard with rev-matching technology as well as a limited slip differential.

A-Spec packs come with 18-inch wheels and a spoiler at the rear. The equipment also includes a gloss black finish on the window surrounds, trim and front fascia. The interior features stainless steel pedal caps and red gauge needles. Contrast stitching is available for the upholstery.
