A new ZDX is also on the horizon.
The 2016 Precision concept is responsible for the latest design language of the Acura brand. The grille “Diamond Pentagon”, which decorates the fascias of cars such as the ILX, TLX , or crossovers like RDX and MDX, is found on the ILX and TLX . A new report claims that the Precision never saw production. However, a sedan based heavily on the three-year-old design could be in development.
According to Auto and Driver Acura will unveil its most sporty sedan yet at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this year. This four-door, production-ready concept inspired by Precision will be on display in Southern California in August. It should go on sale in 2020. It will however be just one of many Acura products.
Acura will unveil a new TLX after the Precision-inspired sedan. The new TLX, which is only a few years old is scheduled to debut in late 2019 or early 2020. The same goes for the MDX. Acura will unveil a new version of the three row late this year or early next. The TLX and MDX will both be completely new, with the Type S version of Acura’s twin-turbo V6.
The most surprising news is the rebirth of ZDX. The funky crossover coupe Acura launched in 2009? It’s back! Acura is expected to offer a version of the Acura i-Drive with the Germans (BMW Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-Benz) dominating this segment.
