The coupe’s mid-engined engine can reach a top speed of 191 mph (308 km/h).
At the start of the year, Alfa Romeo stated that the 4C doesn’t need a Quadrifoglio model because it is already the best in its class. Pogea Racing has shown that there are many ways to improve the mid-engined coupe so it can compete with the Porsche 718 Cayman or the Alpine A110.
The tuner has now revealed the savage 488 GTB FCPlus Corsa, which was unveiled just days ago. It boasts more power than the Pista and is equipped with an infinite array of custom parts. The four-cylinder, 1.75-liter gasoline engine was upgraded to a 1.95 liter displacement. It also has a new turbocharger. Pogea Racing engineers also installed a new forging crankshaft, updated piston rods, and larger intake valves.
A custom exhaust system with carbon tailpipes, an improved gearbox and revised electronics complete the list. This ensures that all upgrades work together harmoniously. The rear-wheel-drive coupe now boasts a staggering 477 horsepower, which is nearly double that of the 237-hp 4C. It has gone from 258 lb-ft (350 Nm), to 395 lbft (535 Newton meters).
The coupe’s performance has been greatly improved by the new power. The Alfa Romeo takes 3.6 seconds to reach 62 mph (100 km/h), and will accelerate to 191 mph (308 Kph). Standard version can do 160 mph (258 km/h) and completes sprint in 0.9 seconds later.
Apart from repairing the oily bits of the car, Pogea Racing also created an aerodynamic body kit that includes lots of carbon fiber parts and new alloy wheels. The rear axle measures 18 inches, while the rear axle measures 19 inches. The interior is described as “Leather” or “Alcantara”, and comes in a predominant dark theme with contrast red accents to match the exterior.
We don’t know the pricing details, but we do know that five cars will be made, one of which is already headed to an Australian customer.
