This model packs an additional 109 horsepower and trims 220 lbs (100kg) of fat. Maximum speed? Top speed: 189 mph (304 km/h).
Pogea Racing, a German tuner, is not unfamiliar with Alfa Romeo 4C upgrades. They have released numerous packages for the lightweight coupe over recent years. This latest kit, which takes the rear-wheel drive machine to new heights in terms both of power and weight, is undoubtedly the best. “Zeus”, the new program, is a collection of many improvements that will transform the 4C into a tuner’s vision of a Quadrifoglio model that Alfa refuses to develop .
We’ll start with the most important: power. Alfa’s The turbocharged four-cylinder 1.75 liter turbocharged engine no longer produces the standard 237 horsepower and 258 poundfeet (350 Newton meters) of torque. Instead, it has been massaged to produce a powerful 346 HP at 6,100 rpm. It also generates 338 lbft (458 Nm), from 2,800. A modified turbocharger, an upgraded high-pressure pump, injectors and stainless steel exhaust were added to give the engine more power.
This huge jump in power of 109 HP and 80 lb/ft (108Nm) has reduced the sprint from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) by 1.1 seconds. It now takes only 3.4 seconds. The top speed has increased dramatically from 160 mph (258 km/h) to a stunning 189 mph (314 km/h), after moving from 62 mph (100%) to 124 (200 km/h) in just 8.1 seconds.
Zeus packs a lot more power and is lighter than the stock model. Pogea Racing was also able to trim 100 kilograms (220 lb) of weight by extensively using carbon fiber. This car, which was not equipped with sound but still had a full tank, weighed in at 904 kilograms (1.993 lb).
The prominent wing at its back makes the Alfa Romeo 4C Coupe look more aggressive. It also received 18-inch front wheels and rear wheels, as well as a coilover suspension that was developed in collaboration with KW. This has resulted in a reduction of 50 mm in the center of gravity (nearly 2 inches) which should make it easier to handle. A hydraulic lift system allows the car’s nose to be raised so as not to damage the bumper.
Zeus is dressed in Bentley-style black Nappa leather, with orange accents inspired Lamborghini, and combined with Porsche-derived perforated leather surfaces. The Alpine system comes with a subwoofer, a reversing camera and an Alpine sound system. It’s nice to have the Gulf theme, as well as the velour floor mats on the ground and the 12 o clock marker on the steering wheel.
Pogea Racing will make 10 Zeus models, but only three have been completed and handed to their owners. The starting price for one of the seven remaining cars is EUR50,100, or about $56,850 at current exchange rate. However, it does not include the donor car.
