Aston Martin’s cancellation of the Lagonda SUV Concept has been repeated by an unknown Alfa Romeo spokesperson who stated that the “MiTo GTA” has been suspended. She stated that “it’s difficult to justify building such a high-performance car at this time because of the financial crisis which means it’s not financially viable.” It may never happen, unfortunately.
The MiTo GTA, originally shown at Geneva Motor Show in concept form, was powered by a 240-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine of 1.8-liter displacement with direct injection and dual variable timing. The MiTo GTA is a dream car for enthusiasts, with its aggressive styling, sportier suspension and light weight, it was sure to please.
