Alfa Romeo’s revelations are rare and far between. We are therefore very excited about the Tonale. It’s only a concept at the moment, but it is a sign of the brand’s intent to diversify its portfolio and add a smaller crossover to the slot below the Stelvio. It’s not a window into the future, but it is a window into the past. Alfa Romeo’s Future, the Tonale will feature retro design cues that pay homage to the marque’s classic cars. Although technical specifications are still unknown, Alfa Romeo claims that the Tonale was designed with a plug in hybrid powertrain. The brand will launch six PHEVs by 2022. The Tonale will most likely be one of them.
