All Cars With Apple CarPlay, Android Auto Or Both

Apple and Android are gradually taking over in-car infotainment systems.

The technology is rapidly changing the way we interact with our cars and our smartphones. Automakers have been creating proprietary infotainment systems for years that didn’t work as well as the smartphones people are carrying. Apple and Google followed. Apple is releasing several new phones this month – the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and X – as well as iOS11, which will include an updated version Apple CarPlay. Google’s Android operating systems, 8.0 Oreo and Android Auto have been updated recently. Samsung has just launched its Note8 smartphone.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both available in many models and automakers. However, not all cars have them. Lexus and Toyota both keep their own infotainment systems. Porsche, BMW, and Lamborghini are the only luxury automakers that offer Apple CarPlay. Lamborghini offers CarPlay only on the Centenario.

This list was compiled by Google and Apple. If you notice a car not listed, it may not be correct. We have also included several submodels within the same submobel – for example, the e-Golf Golf Alltrack, Golf Alltrack and Golf GTI all under Golf. This does not mean that Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are required features. They are only available depending on the trim.

Check out the following list to find which models have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. You can also see future models that will soon be able to use the technology. This list will be updated as new models are added.
