This is a Blazer with three rows.
The world of automotive spy photos can be fascinating and mysterious, folks. This article shows a heavily camouflaged SUV patrolling the streets around the extensive General Motors proving ground in Milford, Michigan. This area is known for its wide variety of prototypes and test mules, which are common in the area. We’ve also seen this particular form before. It was initially thought to be a three-row Chevrolet Blazer. But new evidence shows that it is actually an all-new Buick crossover.
How can we find out? GM Authority was curious and discovered an IHS Automotive document which mentioned a new Buick crossover. A program code identifies the program as a mid-size crossover, which is exactly what we see in these spy photos.
It’s not to suggest that could not include a three-row Blazer. Automakers are known to be SUV-crazy at the moment. With the reborn Blazer set to go on sale next year and a shared platform between Buick and Chevrolet, it’s possible that buyers would like a three-row Blazer. The paperwork suggests that it will be an all-Buick event for now.
What else can we learn about the new SUV? It will be placed between the Envision, Enclave, and ride on GM’s C1 platform. This platform is designed to hold three rows of passengers. It will be used by several GM models, including the Cadillac XT5 as well as the GMC Acadia. There is every reason to believe it could become a three-row Blazer.
When will we be able to learn more about the yet-unnamed Buick SUV. We expect this vehicle to be fully revealed next year.
