However, the rumors are not over. revealed in an exclusive report that both the M4 and the M3 sedan will be available as rear-wheel drive models when they arrive at dealerships in early 2021. As previously confirmed, they will be unveiled in September, while the M3 and M4 models will hit the streets in the latter part of 2021.
BMW is offering the M3 and the M4 in xDrive versions for the first time. This is the Munich-based automaker that started this trend with the M5 and it’s now trickling down to smaller, high-performance names.
BMWBlog reports that the M3/M4 will initially be offered in a “Pure” trim. This means that it will have a manual transmission and 480 horsepower (358 kW). These Pure variants will be redesigned front and rear apron designs, unique wheels designs and standalone signature colors.
BMW confirmed that the M3’s rear photos were real, but there haven’t been any reports about the M3 using the huge vertical grille. We hope it doesn’t.
