Allowed Mercedes S-Class Photo Doesn't Look Like It [UPDATE]

Mercedes seems to have found a way for more screens in its flagship vehicle. Or is it?

Instagram has proven to be a valuable resource for uncovering some secrets Mercedes is keeping about the next-generation S-Class. As long as the door panel is actually from the new model, Instagram will continue to prove to be a valuable source. After seeing the camo-free prototype in January, another grainy image was uploaded to the photo-centric social media platform by user “https://www.instagram.com/p/B9ynPyfKBSC /”>”cochespias.” Although the door panel appears to be belonging to the next S, we are unsure.

The photo below shows an interior door panel that combines a wood trim and aluminum switchgear with dark glossy surfaces. This will be a magnet for fingerprints. The screen that controls the electricly adjustable seats is the most striking feature of the low resolution photo. It appears that the person who is sitting inside must choose the settings for the memory function of the seat.

The tiny label to the left of this image says “Faurecia”, which is a Paris-based supplier of automotive interiors. It also includes the S-Class W222. “Canatu”, a Finnish company, is the other label. It develops and produces 3D-formed and stretchable films as well as touch sensors.

We don’t know the identity of this interior panel, so it isn’t really news. Mercedes is being vague about details about the new S Class. We’ll accept whatever the Internet has to say. If you are unsure about the identity of the automaker, you can see the logo with the three-pointed star on the small screen.
