Alpha Motors has rendered yet another EV it plans to offer. this time it’s the Saga Estate which transforms the brand’s sedan into a stationwagon.
The Saga Estate extends the roof on the standard model. Alpha has an arched top and steeply-angled hatchback, so there’s plenty of style. It’s a retro-looking wagon that looks attractive. A roof rack is shown holding a surfboard in the renderings. The images below show the wagon side-by-side with the Saga sedan. Alpha Motors Saga Estate Alpha Motors Saga
The powertrain for the Saga Estate would be made up of two electric motors that power the rear and front axles. A lithium-ion battery of 85-kilowatts per hour would give an estimated range for 300 miles (482.8 km). The system could run at 450V and would be able to recoup 80 percent in an hour using DC power. Alpha estimates that the wagon can travel 60 miles an hour (96 km per hour) in just 6.3 seconds.
Alpha Motors estimates that the Saga Estate will have a cargo volume of 35 cubic feet in its rear section and frunk, which is compared to 20 cubic feet (5666.3 liters) in the regular model. The interior is complete with a digital instrument cluster, infotainment screen and the rest. The HVAC controls are traditional knobs.
The automaker plans to offer an optional package that will make the Saga Estate ruggeder. This package would raise the ride height as well as add bumper reinforcements to the front and back.
Alpha does not know when the Saga Estate will go into production. The company is now accepting reservations. The company estimates that prices will range from $45,000 to $55,000
The Wolf pickup will be the first production model of Alpha Motors. It will be available for purchase in the fourth quarter 2023. The price should range from $36,000 to $46,000.
