Many French classics and one Spanish coupe are available for purchase.
Barn finds will never be boring. It is refreshing to see classic cars preserved in time, especially if they have made a mark in history.
One particular French collection features a large number of classic cars. Pierre Heron’s collection includes a variety of classic cars from France and one Spanish coupe dating back to the 1920s. After visiting the Paris Motor Show as a teenager, Heron was said to have developed a passion for cars. This video gives a tour of the barn.
The 1954 Talbot Lago T26 GSL is one of the most sought-after classics. This Talbot Lago T26 GSL coupe, chassis number 111007 is one of only 15 ever produced.
The collection also contains several Delahaye models. One of the models, chassis number 800833, belongs to the 1948 Delahaye 135M Cabriolet “El Glaoui” by Figoni & Falaschi. It is one of 18 convertibles ever made.
The only non-French vehicle in the group is the 1928 Hispano-Suiza Type 49 Coach. This Spanish-built coupe chassis number 8013 has not been restored.
The classic cars aren’t as expensive as the rare Delahaye 135 Competition, which was sold for millions in 2018. They were priced reasonably low, with the most expensive cars at around 200,000 euros (or $210,000). This is because they are in “barn find” condition and will need extensive restoration before they can be driven on their own.
24 lots from this huge Pierre Heron collection, ranging in lot 101 through 124, will be up for auction at Artcurial Auctions under Le Mans 2022.
