Delivering the goods with serious style
What is the smallest supercar thing that you can think of in the automotive industry? You’ll be able to visualize a 40-year old dump truck covered in mud and popped into your head. We don’t have to take credit for this. WebLogging gave us some amazing renderings that showed what trucks could look like if designed by supercar makers.
The trucks does not refer to a semi-ton pickup truck with supercar atmosphere. We’re referring to the big guys – semis and rigs or lorries or whatever else they were called in your area. Although most trucks are functional, it’s hard to deny that the seven machines below turn that equation on its head. What will the ultra-low profile tires be able to lug 80,000 pounds for? What use is a cargo van that shrinks arbitrarily in different locations? It’s a critical question, but it’s irrelevant.
Let’s have a look at each design and then let us know in the comments which one we like best.
Lamborghini
The rig is easy to recognize as a Lambo and still provides some function. The Urus gave Lamborghini a practical air, but the large greenhouse and upright grille could make it a more efficient truck. However, loading pallets of goods into this trailer would be difficult.
Pagani
The styling cues of this truck are identical to the Lambo. The cab’s body lines flow into the fenders, which is a neat feature. It’s also very sleek. Although the trailer isn’t huge, it can be used as a short-haul vehicle or as a custom rig to transport your Pagani from one place to another.
W Motors
The Lykan HyperSport is a company that loves sharp angles. This rendering is actually a borrowing from the Lykan’s sibling the. It’s a big monkey with straighter lines than high school drafting classes. The narrow opening at the trailer’s end is not user-friendly, but it fits in with the design aesthetic.
Aston Martin
We see a lot of Tesla influence on this Aston Martin design. Do you think this means that a lot of electric motors are underneath the truck rather than a large V12? Trucks require massive torque so all renderings here either have an electric motor or a huge diesel engine. Caterpillar makes an industrial V12 that produces over 5,000 pound-feet torque. If you want to keep a 12-cylinder in your Aston semi there are other options.
Ferrari
While some might think that all these supercar semi renderings are silly, a Prancing Horse version could be the best. It looks great. It is based on the Portofino and pulls a trailer which is both functional and form-fitting. How cool would a fleet Ferraritrucks for the manufacturer’s F1 Team be? Although it is not our favorite, we like it.
Koenigsegg
This wide, flat truck was inspired by the Koenigsegg Agera. It could look the most car-like, but it’s possible that the Agera is more slab-sided than a large truck. This truck would have to be the fastest. But don’t expect a top speed of 280 mph or more.
McLaren
We believe we have saved the best for last. Based on the 720S epic, FleetLogging’s take-on a McLarensemi looks curvy, futuristic, and swoopy. It’s also very yellow. We love the fact that the truck’s trailer is almost flush with the back of its cab. This is our first choice for supercar trucking style.
