AMG-Powered Classic Ford Mustang is Not for Everyone

This is an intriguing and controversial build.

We’ve seen many engine swaps in the past, including an V8 engine that was stuffed into a Lamborghini Huracan. This basically puts an American-made engine inside a European supercar. What if it was the other way round? We were able to find this: a 1969 Ford Mustang that had lost its original engine and received a heart transplant. The donor? A Mercedes-AMG E63 with its renowned twin-turbo V8 engine of 5.5-liters.

If you are a Mustang fan, then you have probably flipped your table out of dismay or disappointment. This is the fault of UK’s Anny Garage. This German-powered American muscle car was featured on Officially Gazeted – OG YouTube channel. It’s not your typical ‘Stang build. This classic pony car was originally a damaged example that was stored for almost 25 years before getting a new life.

MSL Performance tuned the Ford Mustang to produce 721 horsepower (538 Kilowatts) & 885 pound-feet (1.200 Newton-meters), which is a lot more than the AMG engine inside an E63. This transformation isn’t an ordinary one. The Mustang received the bumper of the AMG along with AMG-branded brake discs and a grille badge. This is not all.

The Mercedes-Ford loverchild is a Mercedes-Benz dashboard. However, the seats are an A-Class. The middle of the steering wheel is adorned with a three-pointed star. The whole thing is confusing, to be honest. But that’s not the goal of this project.
