Boooo.

Tigle  .We all know that hood ornaments are gradually disappearing. Jaguar, Lincoln, and Cadillac are just a few of the automakers that have decided to scrap these elaborate pieces. They do so in order to meet modern safety standards and aesthetics. Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the latest front fascia to be discarded.

After a thorough sweep of hood ornaments for the C-Class and SL-Class, it was discovered that the option is not available on the 2021 online configurator to the E-Class. Although it is very disappointing, we must not forget that the event we are witnessing today was foreshadowed. The E-Class cars were available in luxury and sport trims, but the former had an insignia at the hood.

With the 2009 introduction of the W211 model, the first mention of flattening German automaker’s logo onto the grille was made. The W212 model was the first to introduce the star-ingrille aesthetic we see today on almost all Mercedes cars.

Although this news may disappoint many, it also shows that the top-brass will only allow a hood ornament on its most exclusive vehicles. The S Class sedan, and Maybach GTS SUV are the only models allowed to keep the decoration. If the star-in-grille design is too much for you, the 2021 E-Class is still available in European markets with an old-school version.

Although we think it would be extreme to order parts from Germany, it will enhance your automobile experience by a very small degree. Rolls-Royce, Bentley and other manufacturers are the only ones that offer hood ornaments.
