What about an autonomous one-box EV with a glowing Apple on the front fascia
Apple is still very secretive about its plans for electric cars. We’ve only heard from a few unofficial sources. According to a credible report, the tech giant will continue development of its electric car on its own. We have not yet seen any prototypes or sketches of Apple’s car, so we are left wondering what Apple’s next car might look like.
Although the digital drawings in the gallery may appear a bit shaky, they are actually based on patents that Apple has filed. Vanarama, a British vehicle leasing company, created the renderings. They were inspired by existing Apple products as well as patents in various areas. These renderings actually draw inspiration from Apple patents for some of the features.
Apple is said to have conceived the fully-rotating seats and the pillarless doors from its ideas while developing the electric car. This rendering shows the interior as the most striking feature. It features a large screen that dominates the dashboard, and which runs a fully customizable infotainment system.
Apple’s Siri, which is embedded into the steering wheel with a rotating screen, is even more amazing. The coach doors and large glass surfaces make the cabin feel spacious and comfortable.
This rendering shows the Apple Car outside as a weird mix of a hatchback and crossover. These shapes are very angular, and the taillights and headlights are respectively provided by thin LED lights at each end. Surprisingly, the grille appears to be an actual grille and not just a closed-off panel as many modern electric cars.
These renderings may not be based on actual prototypes or concepts, but they do contain ideas that Apple has patented. It remains to be seen if any of these features will make it into a real-world car.
