As peanut butter, watch the oil pour out of this engine.

Yuck!

The video on Reddit shows a horrible oil change. It contains a lubricant that is the color milk chocolate, and it dries out the car in a gross sludge. Motor1.com reached Chris Mertz, who took the video and offered more information and photos.

The vehicle featured in the video is a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe 2-door. The SUV’s owner stated that it had been heating for over a month. This is a serious problem and one that should not be ignored. Finally, the Chevy stalled and was finally taken to the shop.

Mertz is part the Mastertech Auto Care family in Plano, Texas. The mechanics discovered the oil sludge and began to investigate the problem. The problem was caused by the failure of the intake gaskets. Overheating the engine for too long led to engine block cracking. As peanut butter, watch the oil pour out of this engine.

Although the owner should have been more concerned with the overheating, Mertz said that the sludge was not due to oil changes. About 2,000 miles away from the Tahoe’s need for new lubricant,

Motor1.com’s Mertz stated that “by far the worst oil I have ever seen come from a car.” “I’ve been in the automotive industry for 8 years now. I have worked as a mechanic, service writer and general manager.

It is likely that the owner has a special place for Tahoe. Instead of scrapping the SUV and its sludge-filled engine the owner chose to have a long block replacement. Mertz stated that the damage to the engine was too severe to simply rebuild it.
