DBS Superleggera, welcome to the club.
Aston Martin has taken advantage of its connections with the James Bond film franchise by adding more cars to the 25th installment. Today, the company announced via Twitter that four Aston Martin cars will feature in the forthcoming James Bond movie No time to die.
The British company previously announced that three cars would be featured in the action thriller. The classic DB5 was previously confirmed, which has been seen in eight of the 24 current official films.
The Aston Martin Valhalla was also confirmed. The Bond movie will be the first to feature the supercar with a mid-engined engine. However, the agent has already driven one in 1981’s for Your Eyes Only.
The 1977 Series II Vantage is another classic Aston Martin that has appeared in No time to die. This car was last seen in James Bond films more than 30 years ago, in The Living Daylights.
Based on Aston Martin’s tweet, it appears that the DBS Superleggera will be the fourth car in the 25th James Bond movie. We are not surprised. You may recall that the superlight version DB11 received a James Bond Special edition to celebrate the 50th anniversary On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
These cars have been named and we expect more from the movie. Online fan-filmed car chases show the Aston Martin DB5 being chased down by a pair Jaguar XFs in Matera, southern Italy. However, the DB5 is a copy of the original Aston Martin DB5.
