The continuation model DB4 GT Zagato looks great, too.
The Aston Martin, Zagato partnership is deep. Since the 1950s, these two companies have created extraordinary vehicles. The latest project by the two companies could be their most successful. Aston Martin today released more detailed renderings for its DBS GT Zagato as well as the classic DB4 GT Zagato. Both models are expected to be in production within a matter of months.
These renderings represent an improvement on the March release by the company. We can see the Superleggera The DBS GT Zagato, a DBS GT Zagato-based car, has the same shape as its production sibling but with a prominent grille to allow for Aston’s twin-turbo V12 engine. If the same power configuration is used, the DBS GT Zagato may have 715 horsepower (553 Kilowatts) or 663 pound-feet (6900 Newton-meters), of torque. Other upgrades include slimmer headlights and a more defined hoodline. Also, the 20-spoke wheels are gold-tinted.
Marek Reichman is Chief Creative Officer at Aston Martin Lagonda. He says, “This car is not just focused around beauty but also drama.” Our dynamic grille allows us to give the car two distinct identities. DBS GT Zagato almost looks like it’s sitting down, but the rear end of the car will still appear muscular and ready for action.
DBS GT Zagato will also be available in 2020 with a continuation model DB4 GT Zagato. The first model features a straight-six engine that produces 380 horsepower (283 kW), and a four-speed manual transmission. Power is at the rear.
Reichman says, “It was important for me and my teams to deliver something like the original DB4 GT Zagato.”
These beauties will be available for purchase next year, but only a few of them. Aston Martin will only make 19 copies worldwide, at a price of $7.5 million (PS6 millions).
