England versus Italy
The Lamborghini Urus and the Aston Martin DBX are two of the most powerful crossovers available today. These high-performance high-riders faced off on the drag strip . Italy came home victorious thanks to a significant power advantage.
Both crossovers are powered by twin-turbo, 4.0-liter V8 engines. The DBX was capable of 542 horsepower (410 kilowatts) as well as 516 pound-feet (706 Newton-meters), of torque thanks to its AMG-sourced engine. The Urus produces 641 horsepower (478 Kilowatts) as well as 627 pound-feet (685 Newton-meters). The power deficit between the Lamborghini and the Aston Martin was too much for the Aston Martin to overcome.
The DBX is back at the drag strip, but not with the same engine. The Aston still uses the same twin-turbo 4.0-liter engine, but it now produces 697 horsepower (520 Kilowatts) as well as 664 pound-feet (690 Newton-meters) more torque. This DBX is known as the 707 due to its 707 horsepower rating.
It’s the Lamborghini who’s on the backfoot this time. The Briton loses 56 horsepower (41 kilowatts) as well as 37 pound-feet (5 Newton-meters), of torque. The Urus may be lighter than the Aston Martin, but it might not be sufficient to win this time.
Although the drag race was held in rainy conditions, the results were not inconsistent. The Lamborghini was finally beaten by the Aston Martin. The DBX led the Urus by three-tenths a second during the quarter-mile run. It pulled away just before the race’s one-mile mark. The Urus attempted to keep pace with the DBX in the rolling drag race. However, the Lambo was unable to match the horsepower advantage of the latter. The Urus won the challenge over the DBZ in one instance, but you will have to see the video to find out where.
